Who is this guy? After watching Novak Djokovic dismantle Rafael Nodal
in the 2011 US Open in a stunning 4 set victory  -- 6-2, 6-4, 6-7 and
6-1 --  fans of tennis have to be rubbing their eyes in disbelief. Could
this be the same Djokovic who used to routinely shrivel up in a little ball
whenever he got to the semi-finals or finals against Nadal or Federer?
More scrawny than muscular, Djokovic even on his best days looks
more like the 98-pound weakling who gets his lunch money taken by
the campus bully than a world-class athlete.  Well, how times have
changed.

Djokovic has transformed his game from the steady back court affair it
used to be. He now employs a devastating mix of slashing cross-court
forehands, laser-like inside out forehands to complement his always
deadly two-handed backhand. To court side observers, Djokovic has
upped his service by at least 10% over last year, increased his
forehand and backhand winners by about 10-15%. Result? 3 Grand
Slams (The Australian, Wimbledon and the US Open) and a 66 -2
record so far this year.  During this amazing streak, he has beaten
Rafael Nadal 6 times.

Djokovic attributes his success to 2 things. A new gluten-free diet that
finally cleared up those lifelong respiratory problems he had. Second,
the rock-solid confidence he developed when he lead Serbia to the
Davis Cup title.

Now that he has equalled Nadal's stunning 3-Grand Slams in 2010, no
one wants to bet a lot of dough against him winning the Grand Slam
next year.
